Arkum Medical Associates
Arkum Medical Associates was founded by Dr. Petrik to create an all-encompassing holistic healing experience for our patients. It is our mission is to restore each individual to their optimal state of health. To do that, we partner with each patient in creating individualized holistic treatment plans which take into account the patient’s internal and external environments. In addition to performing advanced diagnostic testing and interpretation, we acknowledge and treat drivers of disease that can’t be uncovered by labs.
Dr. Edward “Pete” Petrik, MD, FMCP-M
Medical DIRECTOR
A leading board-certified physician with over 15 years of experience. As the founder of Arkum Medical Associates in Round Rock, Texas, he provides a wide range of treatment options focusing on functional solutions aimed at slowing the aging process, and reducing the risk of chronic disease and inflammatory conditions. Medical services include advanced nutritional counseling, hormone testing, and gut microbiome testing, as well as proven, effective treatments for skin, face, and body. His focus is on achieving measurable results through organic nutrition, exercise regimens, meditation, vitamin and mineral supplementation, ozone therapy, injectables, and more.
Dr. Petrik received his medical degree from the University of Nevada – School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada. He went on to complete a residency in Anesthesiology through Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine at Baylor Scott & White Healthcare in Temple, Texas.
After finishing his residency training, he remained on staff at BS&W and also joined the senior staff at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System, serving as the site director of the anesthesiology residency program. In addition to providing anesthesia services, Dr. Petrik spearheaded the surgical intensivist program in the VA’s intensive care unit.
Dr. Petrik is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. He served in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard as a C-130 combat pilot and F-16 flight surgeon, retiring in 2019 after twenty years of dedicated service.
Dr. Petrik has a passion for promoting health and wellness on an individual level, namely “biohacking.” He is continuously pursuing ongoing education from the Institute of Functional Medicine and the Kalish Institute while partnering with medical spas and clinics in the Austin area in order to offer patients more than the overused prescription drugs and surgery.
Nicole
OFFICE MANAGER
A native of Montana, Nicole has called Texas home for over 15 years. Nicole first became interested in Functional Medicine ten years ago when she experienced her own health crisis. She was eager to learn more upon the COVID epidemic in 2020. With a degree in Education, Nicole has worked in several different industries including teaching and real estate. Through joining Dr. Petrik’s practice, she has put her passion to work by helping patients succeed on their own journey to health and wellness.
Kira
Marketing Director
Kira supports the team through marketing and social media outreach. She brings the perspective of the younger generation to the forefront and encourages our practice to help change the delivery of healthcare in order to support extended longevity and vitality for those that follow in our footsteps.
Zane
Operations
Manages daily operations to ensure productive systems and processes. Zane is currently a Business major at Texas State University.
